Bridges to Light

I have 3 dogs.  All of them are quite small – chihuahua breeds.  I thought about their endless love.  No matter what mood I’m in, they still love me and want to be with me.  I don’t have to be perfect for them, because I already am in their eyes.  They love me unconditionally.  Dogs are often said to be man’s best friend.

They are loyal and protective.  They are always there when we need comfort and support.  They are always forgiving, even when we step on their paws sometimes or if we show up late for dinner.  They are always there, waiting for us with their beautiful, loving hearts.  I feel that God uses the small things to show us he’s always with us.  Dogs (animals in general) are an amazing symbol of God’s unwavering love for us.  It’s no wonder they hold His name in reverse. Do you think God was sending us a message when he created our furry friends?

I got home last night and a beautiful Great Pyrenees Mountain Dog was outside of the house. She doesn’t belong to anyone around our neighborhood.   She ended up staying at my house all night and the next morning, she was still there.   I brought her a warm biscuit for keeping watch over us while we slept.  Most people could shrug it off, but I’m not.  She’s back tonight, guarding the back yard just like any other shepherd watching over its flock.  I put a warm blanket out for her in case the ground gets too cold.  I know she has a home, but now, she has two.  She’s always welcome here. Such a gentle giant, just like our Father.  God is amazing!  Take the time to look at the things He’s doing around you on a daily basis that you might miss if you didn’t have your mind on Him.  He will always send you signs and sometimes, He sends angels.
