Bridges to Light

God is always with you.  He never left – He’s been here the whole time. All you have to do is pray to Him, ask Him during the prayer to be with you and tell Him that you are open to anything He has to say. I have had Him give me bible verses only for them to be the exact answer to my question or it was always relevant to things going on in my life. It’s been AMAZING!  Quiet your mind and open your heart to whatever comes through.  Don’t let your rational mind get in the way.  Open your creative mind and relax, like you would in a daydream.  This relaxed state allows us to hear from God.  You may hear his voice or you may “hear” it as if you are talking to yourself.  It’s totally normal to feel like you are talking to yourself. Don’t think about what you’re writing – you can read it afterward.  Just go and let it flow!  It may feel like a word or sentence begins to form in your mind.  No matter what comes to my mind, I always write it down.  Anything God has to say is important.  I also keep all of mine in a 3 ring binder/notebook.  It’s amazing to reflect on at a later time. God wants to have a relationship with us.  He wants to know his children.  He’s waiting to hear your call.  He will be there with His arms wide open.
