Today, I posted a comment under a faith-based post about my personal walk with God. Someone responded by saying, “We are all gods.” I started to reply—but then the Holy Spirit stepped in. So I let it go.
Now I know why: God wanted me to save it… for this. A moment to write, reflect, and share something deeper than a comment ever could.
Tonight, as I sat quietly with Him, I told Him how deeply it hurts me to see how far this world has drifted from His truth. I brought up that comment, and God immediately led me to 1 Corinthians 3:10: “According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.”
Then He brought me to 1 Corinthians 3:16: “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”
What you may not know is that I’m still learning the Bible. I don’t know Scripture by heart—so when God leads me to a verse, it’s always exactly what I need. It’s always Him speaking directly to me.
And here’s what I want to say:
After nearly a year of walking with Him, I can say this with my whole heart—
We are not gods.
But we are God’s.
We are the dwelling place of His Spirit—the Holy Spirit. And I’m telling you… if you ever come close to that Presence, nothing else will satisfy you again. You’ll long for it. You’ll chase it. Because no earthly love, no ego, no illusion of power can compare to the overwhelming, relentless, healing love of the One who created you.
I don’t have all the answers. I’m still learning, still growing.
But my hope for you is this:
That you experience Him.
That you encounter the Holy Spirit.
That you realize—we are not little gods.
We are humans with a Creator who wants nothing more than to cover us in His endless, eternal love.
All Our Love,
A & E
