Who in your life are you struggling to forgive? In my journey, I’ve faced struggles with forgiveness too. Not often, but when it came to something deeply personal—especially in my personal walk with God—I felt hurt by the lack of compassion from people I expected to have my back. When you’re on a spiritual journey, things aren’t always clear, and I wished for more grace than I received. But in the end, I forgive them anyway because that’s what we’re called to do.
For what I went through, I was really hurt by that lack of compassion, and it led me to a place of bitterness toward certain people. But over time, with more time in God’s presence, I realized I have to forgive—not just for their sake, but for mine as well. Holding on to unforgiveness only hurts me, and it can hold back blessings from them, too.
Jesus teaches us in the Bible how many times we should forgive—seventy times seven. Forgiveness isn’t about keeping score; it’s about endless grace. It’s about freeing yourself and others from the weight of pain.
So, take a moment to think about who you might still be holding unforgiveness toward. Consider offering forgiveness—not just for their sake, but to ease your own heart and open both of you to God’s grace.
Forgiveness is a gift—for them, and for you. And when you choose to give it, you invite healing, freedom, and peace into your life.
